Wetsuit repair kits can quickly fix tears and get you back in the water. Repairs are usually done with some form of synthetic rubber, iron-on patches, or both. Old wetsuits can come in handy for some repairs. I used an old wetsuit to repair a knee pad that kept getting a hole in it. I finally cut the knee from an old wetsuit and glued it the one needing a repair. I got another six months out of it until I upgraded to newer model. Many smaller wetsuit repairs are easily avoided. Don't abraid your wetsuit on hard ground when getting out of it, stand on a pad or towel. Also keep your fingernails short. To repair your wetsuit follow these instructions.
Purchase Aquaseal urethane repair adhesive or a full repair kit. You can also use bike inntertube repair glue. Also get a small spatular and brush.
Open up the wetsuit tear slightly to let glue in betweeen the tear.
Apply thin film of glue on outsides of repair and between the tear.
Hold tear open slightly untill glue dries in the tear, about 1-3 minutes.
This will work fine for small tears, larger repairs will require a combination of glue and patches.
