Surfing Watches

Surfing watches should have a few specific features. The first, just in case your brain dead, is that it should be waterproof. The other feature is tide. If your a surfer, you watch the tides closely, why buy a watch without this feature? Some surf styles are marketed without the tide feature, but with tides being so crucial, spend a few extra bucks for it.

Small Wave
For fun, or sport, surfers worldwide rely on digital tide watches. More than just your average wristwatch, tide watches can improve your game. Sporty, compact, and jammed packed with all the technology to find the perfect wave worldwide or at your own home town. Most are easily programmed to provide the best data for your spot. Just take a look at the fancy features of some of this year’s latest styles of tide watches and you will see what I mean.

Analog tide watches are not as useful. Analog tide functions only tell you where your at in tide cycle, not the absolute tide at any given time. Get a digital one that will tell you the actual depth in feet or meters at any given time. These digital tide watches also have many pre-programmed beaches, so chances are you won't even have to look up the tide to set it.

You can get great surf watches from Nixon, Freesytle, Rip Curl, and Quicksilver. Each have several type of digital tide watches and it's hard to go wrong with any of them. It really just comes down to your style.

Our favorite? Freestyle. Why? Because that's how we roll. Best prices hands down, with free shipping, for a new watch is "eWatches.com" !
