Aside from the windsurfing board you need a rig. The rig consists of the mast, boom, uphaul rope, mast-foot and sail. Lot's of sails out there but as a rule of thumb stick with the smaller ones if your starting out. You also need a harness so your arms don't take all the pull. The harness will help distribute the pull to the rest of your body.
