Surfing Accessories

Girl watching waves with surfboard showing fins

Aside from the surfboard, and wetsuit in many areas, your going to want some surfing accessories.

Leashes - always have a spare. You know the feeling....wipe out, feel the tug of the leash,..snap...oh shoooot! This tends to happen on really good days.

Wax- Don't be too picky, just always make sure you have an excessive amount lying around. Don't be the guy asking for wax at that local spot only to hear some hotshot say "Gee, I just don't have any". Probably the cheapest of the surfing accessories.

Wall racks - So your boards look cool and don't get crushed by your kids/drunken roomate/idiot friends. Also frees up some room in the garage and keeps them ding free. It's also nice to access your boards quicker because sometimes every minute counts.

Car racks - Your going to need racks for that longboard. You might even need racks for your shortboard if the minivan is already chock full of kid seats, toys, and camping gear.Soft surfboard racks work great for travel or for somebody that just needs to strap the board on the car occasionally. Hard racks are the way to go for more regular transportation.

Bike Surfboard Racks - With rising gas prices why not pedal to the beach? Maybe you don't do it because it's not exactly safe using one hand to steer while holding a surfboard in the other. Longboards....forget about it.

Repair kits - Suncure and Quick Stick work fine for fast repairs. Try an actual repair kit for more sturdy, long lasting repairs.

Board bags - So you don't need to use the repair kit as much.

Deck pads - Got a shortboard? Get some deck pads. Here's a tip, use 3M adhesive to glue it down if it starts coming off the board.

Surfboard Noseguards - Protect yourself and the tip of your boards.

Surfers Sunscreen - If you get the cheap, weak stuff your going to pay with a sunburn.

Rashguards - So you don't have to use as much sunscreen and so so you don't have a big sore rash on your gut.

Surf Stickers - Slap them all over the place.
